Aging has a way of testing us. It challenges our bodies, our spirits, and our resolve. Injuries come knocking, pain lingers longer, and movement—something that once felt effortless—requires more intention.

A Personal Reminder of What Matters

I recently experienced this firsthand. A hip injury left me unable to roll over, get out of bed, or even stand without support. That morning, gripping the kitchen counter for balance, I asked myself the question many eventually do:

“Am I strong enough to keep going?”

And then I thought of you—our clients, the gym-goers, the movers and fighters who show up day after day. You remind us that strength isn’t just about muscle—it’s about resilience.

Science backs this up. A large body of research—including findings in the British Journal of Sports Medicine—shows that reduced movement is directly linked to increased mortality risk.

Even light-intensity activity helps. In contrast, extended inactivity raises the risk of chronic disease and early death. In short:
